Standard

Interested in knowing more about copyright for culutral heritage collections? Join the IMDPLA Metadata Committee for an all-day workshop that will be presented by Greg Cram, Associate Director of Copyright and Information Policy at The New York Public Library, at the Indiana State Library on April 27th.

This day-long workshop explores copyright and how to apply the correct rights statements to your collections. With librarians, archivists, historical society, and museum professionals in mind, presenter Greg Cram will discuss determining copyright ownership, public domain, works for hire, copyright duration, licenses and contracts, Creative Commons, fair use, and dealing with orphan works. If you are a copyright novice, this workshop will demystify how to determine if your various items are safe to reproduce and share.
